CURBSIDE CYCLE
BRAND IDENTITY  |  PRINT DESIGN  |  MERCHANDISE

Curbside Cycle is a thriving bike shop in the heart of Toronto’s lively Annex neighbourhood. Unlike most bike shops, Curbside Cycle focused on the needs of the everyday city cyclist. It offers products imported from Europe and Japan where the city cyclist is the heartbeat of the city.
After 20 years of business, Curbside Cycle had outgrown its image of a small street-side shop. I was approached to create a fresh, bold new look for the shop as it was expanding into online markets.
I was tasked to create a unified brand identity that spanned across in-store and online applications including paper goods, merchandise and new webstore tools.

Curbside Cycle began, quite literally, on the side of the road. In 1991, the company consisted of a solo mechanic with a marquee tent, fixing bikes for the locals in his neighbourhood.
Despite its humble beginnings, Curbside Cycle has grown into the largest importer of European cycling goods in North America. It's known for its knowledge and great enthusiasm for all things city cycling.
In 2017, when the company decided to expand into online retail, the shop's knowledge and experience needed to shine through the design. We began creating new branded materials specifically for online customers.
